Ok, Nini laid her first egg last tuesday ( i think) and laid her 2nd egg on Saturday and her third egg this morning. Each egg had fallen to the bottom of her cage and cracked and each egg was removed. This morning after putting her on her perch in the living room i stealthily wen into her cage and removed her egg and replaced with a hard boiled chicken egg. She is now sitting on the chicken egg. Did I do the right thing? I dont want her to keep laying eggs.

IMO, you did the right thing. As long as the eggs were breaking she was going to keep laying and by replacing one with something she accepts she should stop laying. BUT, she may lay another and as long as there is no chance of her having come in contact with a male just leave it. There is no need to boil it as it will be infertile, so no chick.
If she lays another egg check to make sure the egg isn't cracked,& has no blood on it. If the egg is cracked and laid while on the bottom of the cage or has blood on it call your vet. I'll warn you so you don't panic, if you see that the shell is soft &/or covered with mucus chances are the egg was just laid, leave it for a couple of hours and check it later to see if the shell has hardened, it should, if the shell is still soft after a couple of hours call your vet as this is a sign of calcium depletion.

So how does it feel to be the Grandma to an egg? J/K
